Welcome to our first “Films 4 Change” Movie Night in Discovery Bay. Supported by DB Green and hosted at Zaks (upstairs). Please indicate your attendance on our events page here.

Our first movie is Just Eat it: A food waste story.

food waste
“Filmmakers and food lovers Jen and Grant dive into the issue of food waste from farm, through retail, all the way to the back of their own fridge. After catching a glimpse of the billions of dollars of good food that is tossed each year in North America, they pledge to quit grocery shopping and survive only on discarded food. What they find is truly shocking.”

Join us for this entertaining yet important film about the food waste issues. After the film you will have a chance to hear about what is happening in Hong Kong regarding food waste issues and what one of HK’s foremost food waste charities, Feeding Hong Kong, ┬áis doing to help feed those in need whilst reducing food waste going to landfill.

Films 4 Change Movie Nights in DB will be a monthly event showcasing documentary films with important and relevant themes on the environment, sustainability and health.

As a community event we want to encourage conversation and action within the community and how we can all make a difference or be a part of the change. To facilitate this discussion we will invite a guest expert to talk to the audience about the issue as it relates to Hong Kong.
